Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to reject any sanctions on his country's military. He reacted after news broke that the United States was imposing sanctions on an Israeli army unit.
On Sunday, Netanyahu said, "I will fight against it with maximum force if sanctions are imposed on the army."
Recently Axios News reported that the United States is going to impose sanctions on the Israeli army's Netzah Yehuda Battalion for violating human rights in the occupied West Bank of Palestine.
U.S. military aid to the Israel Defense Forces could be cut due to crimes against humanity in the occupied West Bank, U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said last week, saying, "You'll see what you expect against them in the coming days." Washington, Israel's main ally, has never before called off military aid to the Israel Defense Forces.
Meanwhile, the Israeli army has said that the Najah Yehuda forces are acting in accordance with international law. Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant said that the United States should withdraw such a decision. Because, the world is watching the relationship between these two countries more closely than before.
