News Desk: Barrister Sumon joined ICT on November 13, 2012 as a prosecutor (state lawyer)

Barrister Sayedul Haque Sumon has resigned from the post of prosecutor at the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT).

In his resignation letter, submitted to the ICT chief prosecutor on Thursday, Barrister Sumon said he was unable to continue with the ICT due to his social and voluntary engagement.

“Considering the circumstances, I think it is not morally right to receive salary from the government. Therefore, I want to resign from this position,” he said in the letter.

Barrister Sumon joined ICT on November 13, 2012 as a prosecutor (state lawyer).

The High Court lawyer achieved much popularity through highlighting various social and awareness issues on social media site Facebook.
